Alfredo V Armenta

Alfredo V Armenta "Freddie or Fred", 66, of Westmorland, CA passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022. Alfredo was born on January 10, 1956, in Mexicali, Mexico. He immigrated to the United States as an infant. After completing high school, he served 4 years in the US Marine Corps. Fred was a proud veteran and became an active member of the American Legion. He was a hardworking man who devoted 20+ years as a service mechanic for the Imperial Irrigation District. With a love of baseball, he coached two years of Little League and won the District 22 Little League Minor A Championship in 1996. Fred was also an active member in the FIRE Group, a local motorcycle group. In his free time, he always enjoyed being outside and taking care of his yard, fixing his trucks, riding his Harley and spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren. Fred was preceded in death by his wife Earlene Rosas Armenta; parents Micaela and Leon Armenta; brother Leonard Armenta; sister Maria Elena Armenta; and nephew Charles Noah Armenta Grijalva. He is survived by his son Alfredo R Armenta Jr; daughter Dorian Armenta; brothers Proto and Daniel Armenta; sister Elizabeth Grijalva; and his 6 grandchildren whom he loved very much Leylah, Azelie, Apollo, Elijah, Athena, and Iyali. Visitation for Alfredo will be held on Tuesday April 12, 2022, at Frye Chapel from 6-9 pm. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery on Wednesday April 13, 2022, at 10 am.
