Andrea TapiceriaNov 30, 1938-Jan 26, 2022Our beloved mother, grandmother, friend passed away on the morning of Jan 26, 2022. Andrea known to her many friends as "Andy" will truly be missed. She was loving, caring, and went out of her way to help her family and those who needed a helping hand.She enjoyed life, going shopping (even if she didn't buy anything) she also liked being out in the yard picking up a few leaves or just getting some sunshine.Andy's favorite pass time was playing Scrabble with family that came to visit and of course she would win most of the games. She loved to sew and watch old black & white movies that must of been funny cause you could hear laughing.Andy worked for United Food Center owned by the Fong family for 35 years, she considered them part of her family as well.She retired 2013 when her husband Albert Tapiceria Jr. passed away.Andy is survived by her daughters:Nina B Martinez (Francisco) Murrieta,CaSusan Mendoza of Imperial ValleyAnissia Sims (David) TexasSister Rosie Abubo (Fred) Imperial ValleyBrother "Beaver" Marcelino Rosario (Julia) La Puenta, CaGrand Children:Victor-Las VegasEric (Keysha)-Murrieta, CaMartin (Karyn)-San Diego, CaCarlos-Imperial ValleyMary Belle (Bernard)-Brawley, CaRaylene-BrawleyEddie (Alex)-TexasIsaac (Kaitlynn)-TexasGreat, Great Grandchildren:Shaun & Katelyn Halos, Alexia, Elijah, Keirra, Keivoni Halos & Isaiah Gutierrez, Elijah, Isabel, Gaby Castro, Jeremiah Araujo, Jaidyn Arvayo, & Brantley Hurtado.Great, Great, Great Grandchildren:Damian & Avah Halos.Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 4:00-6:00 pm at Frye Chapel in Brawley.Andrea "Andy" will be laid to rest with her husband Albert Tapiceria Jr. at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, Ca.
