Brandon Robert Garcia Obituary (2008 - 2022)

Brandon Robert Garcia, 13, of Brawley, CA, passed away from a long-term illness on August 24, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. Brandon was born in La Jolla, CA on October 23, 2008. He attended several schools in Imperial Valley including Sacred Heart, J.W. Oakley Elementary, and Barbara Worth Jr. High. Brandon was an avid sports fan his favorite teams were the San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Chargers, and the Los Angeles Clippers. He was active in many local activities, including Little League baseball and as a member of the basketball team for Barbara Worth. During his second season as a Little League player, Brandon was selected as a member for the All-Star Little League team. He was also selected as Coaches Choice for his first season with Barbara Worth. Brandon is survived by his Parents, Elizabeth Armstrong and Arthur Garcia (Beatriz Duarte) Siblings, Ryan Garcia and Allyson Garcia Grandparents, Marsha Austin, Randy and Lupe Armstrong, and Arthur and Patricia Garcia Aunts and Uncles, Teri (George) Panagiotopoulos, Tom (Jennifer) Armstrong, Josh Armstrong, Barrick (Kayla) Armstrong, and Michael (Lety) Garcia As well as other numerous family members and friends. Services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 beginning and a rosary at 8:30 a.m. with mass following at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Brawley, CA. Burial at Riverview Cemetery following the mass. A reception will be held following the services at Hidalgo Hall in Brawley.
