Carlota Santana Obituary (1955 - 2022)

Carlota "Charlie" SantanaMarch 5, 1955 - January 4, 2022 Charlie Santana, 66, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. She was born in Benson, Arizona on March 5, 1955.Her family moved to Brawley, California in 1959, where she spent the remainder of her life. In August of 1977 she gave birth to her first son and went on to have three more children: Carla, Kristella, and Olivia. She spent most of her life raising her children as a single mother. She was a devoted Christian and spent a lot of time praying over her children. She loved spending her free time studying her bible. Her pride and joy, however, were her grandchildren. She was a proud grandma of 22 grandchildren. She absolutely loved and doted over every one of them. She loved spending time with them any chance she could get. Her prayers even extended to her grandchildren in her older years. She was an amazing, beautiful, strong woman and will be greatly missed by her family. She is preceded in death by her mother Cecelia Urquides, her brothers, Frankie, Juan (Johnny), Tony, and Freddie, her sisters, Helen and Josie. Also by her grandchildren, Taylor and Micah. She is survived by her children, Alfonso Santana jr., Carla Bridgeford (Adam), Kristella Thomas (Shawn), and Olivia Le Baron (Toby) and her numerous grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brothers, Noberto and Robert, and sisters, Nancy, Mary, and Eva. There will be a graveside service on Friday, February 4th at 10 am at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley.
