Catalina Cardenas Obituary (1939 - 2022)

Catalina Garcia Cardenas (83), of Brawley, passed away in her home surrounded by her loved ones on November 12, 2022. She was a beloved wife, amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Catalina was born January 9, 1939, in San Jose de Ayala Huanimaro, Guanajuato Mexico to Feliciano Garcia, and Rosa Aguilar Garcia, and was the oldest of 12 siblings. Catalina is preceded in death by the love of her life, Francisco Ramos Cardenas who she married in 1963 in Mexicali, B.C, and made their home in Brawley for over 50 years. She is survived by her children Agripina (David) Ruiz, Belia (Joe) Salazar, Francisco Cardenas Jr (Tere), Guadalupe Cardenas (Rosie), and Salvador (Tina) Cardenas; 14 grandchildren, Anthony, Claudia, Israel, Carolyn, Irene, Francisco, Enrique, Adrian, Marisabel, Annabel, Alicia, Salvador, Caitlin, Sebastian, and 22 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at St. Margaret Mary Church 620 S. Cesar Chavez Street, Brawley, California, on November 23, 2022, from 10 am - 11 am followed by a Holy Mass at 12 pm. with burial at Riverview Cemetery immediately following the mass
