Donald (Don) Gene Shrum, 84, of Holtville, California, passed away on 13 April 2022 at his home in Holtville surrounded by his family and loved ones.Celebration of Life and visitation will begin promptly at 9:00A.M. on May 2, 2022.The location for the viewing and service will be at Frye Chapel and Mortuary located at 799 S. Brawley Ave Brawley, CA 92227.Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M. on May 2, 2022 at Frye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley with the Pastor Moore of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating.Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.Don was born in Senath, Missouri to Charles and Eugenia Shrum on January 22, 1938. Don married Rosemary Fortenberry Greene on March 25, 1989 in Holtville, CA. He worked as a Hydroelectric Engineer for the Imperial Irrigation District (I.I.D) for 33 years.His passions in life were his family, traveling, music and woodworking.Don is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Eugenia Shrum, first wife Vada Mae and his brother Junior Shrum.Don is survived by his widow Rosemary Shrum; daughter Donneta (Autumn) Bruner and her husband Dirk, son Michael Shrum and his partner Rhonda: son Christopher Greene and his wife Rebecca Greene: daughter Mary Manning and her husband Keith: Siblings Virginia (Sissy) and her husband Junior, Dorothy and her husband Acie, Mary and Carlton (Sonny): Granddaughter's Melissa Ramos, Brittany Brown, Danika Bruner, Megan Manning and Alexis Mercier: Grandson's Michael Shrum (Jake), Grant Manning, Morgan Bruner, Donald Greene, Avery Greene, Jack Greene and Tyler Greene. Great-Grandchildren: Dylan Lyons, Celeste Ramos, Brennan Ramos, Andrew Ramos, Mackenzie Shrum, Kierstyn Shrum, Kyler Shrum, Madelynn Hykes, Ronin Keith Manning and (1) Great-Great-Grandchildren Lyanibel Rose Lyons along with many other family and friends.
