Esperanza Razo of Brawley, CA passed away suddenly on November 19, 2023 after a brief illness.
Esperanza was born in Mexicali, Baja California on July 31, 1948. She was married to Sebastian M. Razo on November 5, 1967 and moved to the Imperial Valley shortly thereafter. The young couple settled in Brawley in 1971 where they raised their two daughters. They were married for 34 years until Sebastian's passing in December 2001. Esperanza spent the last 17 years with her life companion, Rudy Nunez.

Esperanza is preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents Antonio Rivera Orozco and Esperanza Rivera Medina, and her siblings Bertha Moreno Rivera and Benito Rivera

Esperanza is survived by her life companion Rudy Nunez, daughter Martha Razo Locklin, son-in-law Kevin Locklin, daughter Andreina Razo Mascarenas, four grandchildren: Emily and Ayden Mascarenas and Sarah and Holly Locklin, and other family and friends.

Visitation services will be held on Thursday, December 14th, 2023 at Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Brawley, CA from 6pm-9pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 15th, 2023 at St. Margaret Mary's Church in Brawley, CA at 9:00am. Burial will follow the funeral at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley, CA.
