Esperanza Zapata Barboza Obituary (1924 - 2023)

Esperanza Barbosa of El Centro, CA was born on January 12, 1924. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce her passing. Esperanza peacefully passed on June 9, 2023, at the age of 99, surrounded by her beloved children and grandchildren. She was a humble and kind woman full of faith. Esperanza was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose beautiful smile and joyful presence will always be remembered. She was dedicated to serving her family and the Lord throughout her life. Although we will miss her every day, our pain is soothed knowing she is now at peace and resting aside Him, her husband Manuel Barbosa, and children Estela Ochoa, Jose Guadalupe Barbosa, and Dolores Hernandez. Esperanza is survived by her daughters Teresa Vieyra, Concepcion Villa, Virginia Barbosa, Luz Maria Munguia, Maria Elena Viesca, Paula Barbosa, and Evangelina Robledo, her sons Manuel Barbosa, Roberto Barbosa, Francisco Barbosa, and Rodolfo Barbosa, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Viewing services for Esperanza will be held Wednesday June 21, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Frye Chapel & Mortuary 338 West Aten Road in Imperial, CA. Mass will be held Thursday June 22, 2023, at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church located at 153 East Brighton Avenue in El Centro, CA.
