Fidel Ponce Galvan Obituary (1961 - 2021)

Fidel Ponce, 60, went to be with the Lord on December 17th 2021 from an unexpected heart attack. Even though a failing heart took him away from this world, the joy and laughter he brought will be with us forever. Fidel is survived by his beautiful wife Martha. He was a proud father to four sons, Fidel Jr., Hector, Victor, and David, and 16 grandchildren, his mother Guadalupe Galvan Ponce, and his six brothers and one sister. He was preceded in death by his father Rafael Ponce. Fidel was loved by many and will be remembered for his bike riding, joke telling, storytelling, and light hearted sense of humor. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and would always go out of his way to help someone in need. He loved his grandchildren and spent many hours walking, playing and sharing stories with them about his life. He loved camping and going to the beach, and of course Chinese food was his favorite. More than anything he loved spending time with his beloved wife. A celebration of life will be held on Friday January 7th 2022 at 9 a.m. The service will be held at New Generation Church in El Centro. 607 Desert Gardens Drive. Burial will immediately follow at 12 noon at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.
