Marcus Dupree Williams Obituary (1984 - 2023)

In the stillness of the night, we gather to mourn the passing of Marcuse DuPree Williams. A soul who has left an indelible mark on our hearts. On April 19, 2023, in El Centro, CA, Marcuse slipped away from the world, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and compassion. Born on June 7, 1984, in Brawley, CA, Marcuse was a radiant spirit, a beacon of hope and joy in a word often fraught with darkness. He was a man of great tenderness, kindness, and mirth, whose laughter could light up the darkest of skies. He was a devoted uncle, father, and fierce protector of his loved ones. In his leisure he found solace in his hobbies, watching football, drawing, and playing basketball; passions that brought him great joy. Marcuse was preceded in death by his father, Clay Williams, and Jennifer Havens, the mother of his children. A loss that he carried with him always. He is survived by his mother Mary Lee Williams, his sister LaQuisha Whitnesy, and Ashley Williams. Marcuse leaves behind two beloved sons, Theiler and Ashton Havens. Among the survivors are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. We gather today to remember Marcuse, to honor his memory, and to pay tribute to a life lived with grace, courage, and love. We invite all those whose lived were touched by Marcuse to join us in bidding farewell to this radiant soul, to celebrate his life and cherish his memory. May his spirit soar high above us, a shinning star in the firmament of our hearts, a testament to the enduring power of love and beauty of a life well-lived.
