Marivel Perezlucero Obituary (1960 - 2021)

Marivel Perezlucero passed away on October 22, 2021, in El Centro, California of natural causes following a short illness. She was 61. Marivel was born on May 24, 1960, in Mexicali, BC Mexico to Jose Rodriguez Quinonez and Dominga Quinonez Gonzalez and was one of 18 children. Marivel attended Escuela Secondaria Numero 10, Colonia Independencia in Mexicali where she played on the basketball team. After graduating in 1975, Marivel moved to Los Angeles with her mother and siblings for a short period of time before moving and residing in Guadalajara, Mexico, and San Diego, California where she managed several residential and commercial properties. Following the death of her husband, Marivel moved to the Imperial Valley and spent much of her time with her immediate and extended family members, which included her daughter, Karla Acuna, granddaughter, Itzel Contreras, and grandson, Leo Max Contreras who were all the apple of her eye. Marivel had a zest for life and was known by her friends and family for her amazing culinary abilities. When Marivel was not babysitting or performing other domestic activities, she would decompress at the casinos one of her favorite past times. Marivel leaves behind several siblings and relatives who reside in Sinaloa and Mexicali, Mexico, the Imperial Valley, San Diego, Los Angeles, Arizona, and Texas. Marivel will be forever missed but never forgotten. A private viewing will be held at Frye Chapel in Brawley, California on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 1:00 p.m.
