Ofelia Moreno Morales

Visitation will take place on Friday, May 27, 6pm to 9pm, at Frye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley for Ofelia Moreno Morales, who passed away Saturday, April 30, surrounded by family in her home. She was 85. Mass will take place on Saturday, May 28 at 10am at Saint Margaret Mary Church, 620 South Cesar Chavez St. in Brawley. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley.Ofelia was born on February 20, 1937, in Aguaruto, Sinaloa, MX. She resided in Brawley and worked many years in agriculture before retiring and becoming self-employed. Ofelia always lived life to the fullest and was commonly known for being the life of the party. She enjoyed dancing, shopping, the casino, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Ofelia will be dearly missed by her loved ones. Ofelia is survived by her brother Antonio Salazar; daughter in law Gloria Morales; her grandchildren Mayanin (Gabriel) Lugo of Brawley, Ofelia Yanet Morales of Brawley, Richard Morales of Washington, Yesenia (Alberto) Arriquive of Brawley and Gloria Yadira Morales of Brawley; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Ricardo Salazar Morales; son Victor Manuel Moreno Morales; her parents Dolores Lerma and Jesus Moreno; brother Isaul Moreno; and sister Yolanda Moreno.
