Ruben Coronado Gonzales "China"August 8, 1948- Feb. 27, 2022Ruben Coronado Gonzales, 73, of Brawley CA passed away on February 27, 2022. He was born on August 8, 1948 in Gilroy CA. He was the youngest boy of ten children born to Ramon and Sara Gonzales.Ruben leaves his wife of 52 years, Susan Alvarez Gonzales; his children Sonya Schmitt (Brian), Lauren Diane Gonzales and Ruben "Choppy" Gonzales (Ruth); grandchildren, Taylor Briane Schmitt, Matthew Ruben Schmitt, Ruben Alejandro Gonzales & Jocelyn Gonzales.Ruben served honorably in the Army where he was stationed in Germany for two years. The majority of his professional career was in the service development industry where he mentored and assisted many of the local community with attaining their first jobs. Ruben spent a large part of his time reading books and taking long walks around the neighborhood. Hanging out with his grandchildren was one of his favorite pastimes and family gatherings were always the best for him. He enjoyed oldies music and as well as dancing to cumbias with his lovely wife Susan. A private ceremony and celebration of his life will be held later this month in his honor to remember his time on earth and all the joy he brought to his family and friends.
