Alice Aguilera Armstrong
December 1, 1943 ~ February 18, 2024

Alice Armstrong, 80, of Brawley, CA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, February 18, 2024.

Alice was born in Brawley in 1943 to parents Julio and Patrocinia Aguilera. She had 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Alice married the love of her life, Gilbert Armstrong, in 1963. They had four children, 5 grandchildren, a great-grandchild, and a soon-to-be 2nd great-grandchild. Gilbert and Alice established the Armstrong Lathing construction company where Alice was the bookkeeper/accountant for 40+ years.

Alice was a devout Catholic, fully devoted and consecrated to God. She was a lifelong member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. She attended Sunday mass and Holy days of obligation without fail.

Her most favorite pastime was spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends. She enjoyed going to the casino with her husband and to concerts of various music genres with her husband and children. She loved gardening, painting, sewing, knitting, and watching telenovelas.

Alice will always be remembered for her kind and loving heart, her willingness to help others without hesitation, and her sense of humor. We are grateful and feel very blessed to have her as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be missed tremendously every day. Her memory will live on in our hearts and of all those who loved her.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Julio and Patrocinia Aguilera, her siblings, Jesus Aguilera, Federico Aguilera, Robert Aguilera, Delfina Lopez, Estella Lankford, and Ofelia Aguilera.

Alice is survived by her husband, Gilbert Armstrong; sons Roland Armstrong and James Armstrong (wife Claudia); daughters Letty Rogers and Regina Harris (husband Tracy John); grandchildren Jamie Armstrong, Cy Rogers, Julian Armstrong (wife Samantha), Zulema Armstrong, and James Jay Armstrong; great-granddaughter Madison and 2nd great-grandchild-to-be Armstrong; brothers Frank Aguilera and Albert Aguilera; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 9 am - 11:30 am at Frye Chapel & Mortuary in Brawley. Mass will be held at St. Margaret Mary Church in Brawley at 12 noon on Friday, March 8, 2024, followed by the burial at Riverview Cemetery.
