Correnne A Derrick Obituary (1937 - 2023)

Correnne A. Derrick passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones in Desert Hot Springs, CA on August 22, 2023. Correnne was born to Everett and Francis (Peggy/Grandma Bus) Agnew on February 5, 1937 in Imperial, CA. The oldest of 4 children, she graduated from Imperial High School in 1955. She married her husband, Jerry Derrick in 1958 and went on to have four children who she raised in Plaster City and Imperial. Correnne was a self-proclaimed "people person" and loved spending time with her family, friends, and being at Imperial High School sporting events. Outside of spending time with her family, Correnne was an avid bowler, sewer, and volunteered with various organizations helping Imperial High School sports and was a member of the Imperial Quarterback Club and Imperial Tigers Football Association. Correnne will be remembered for her sponky, can-do attitude and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughters Tammy and Jeri Diane Derrick, her parents and siblings Leslie and Jon Agnew. She is survived by her children Bennie Derrick(Rhonda) and Cindy Wilson(Darr). Grandchildren; Derrick Wilson, Casey Derrick(Marlena), Steven Wilson, Brian Phillips, and Chad(Maria) Derrick. Great-grandchildren Emma and Bradley Derrick. Son-in-law Kenny Phillips, sister Ladean(Gary) Byars, sister-in-law Bonny(David) Comer and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Services will be September 15, 2023 at 10am in Imperial at Frye Chapel with burial to follow after at Evergreen Cemetery. A lucheon will be held at the El Centro Elks Lodge at 12pm.
