It's with heavy hearts to inform that on Friday, August 25th, 2023, Martha Jean Farmer, passed away at the age of 70 years old, peacefully at her home in Escondido Ca . Martha was a lovely, sweet woman, and always kind to everyone. She always had a smile when she would greet you. If you had a need and she could help, she would. She was a real "valley" girl. Her family lived on a farm, which is now called Farmers Estates off of La Brucherie Rd. Martha had attended McCabe Elementary school and graduated Central Union High School in 1970. She had participated in 4H in her early years, and raised an award winning steer. She owned a beautiful quarter horse and was a princess in the Cattle Call rodeo of 1969, riding her horse in the Cattle Call parade that year. She was mathematically inclined and loved working in the accounting department for the IID. Martha was well liked and beloved in her "Circle of Friends" group where she will be greatly missed.

After a year at Imperial Valley College, Martha relocated to San Diego with her daughter Marnie, finding work at the Del Mar Fairgrounds for several years. Then she found her passion in the Beauty Salon industry as a receptionist at Fantastic Sam's where she had met and embraced a new family of friends who had loved her dearly. Then after working for 20 years, she retired in 2018 .

Martha was a loving daughter, best sister , wonderful loving mother and an amazing friend to everyone.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents Eugene B. Farmer and Martha Lou Farmer.

She is survived by her daughter , Marnie Jean Farmer-Tascher (Hugo C.), her lifelong partner Jerry Tascher of Escondido Ca , sister Judy Ferguson (Robert) of Alamogordo NM and numerous of family worldwide.
The family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Frye Chapel & Mortuary.

Graveside services will be on September 19 2023 @11a.m at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.
