Victor Manuel Leal Obituary (1952 - 2021)

Victor Leal, 69, of Calexico, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on October 6, 2021, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Victor grew up in Calexico, graduating from Calexico High School in 1971. He married the love of his life, Lourdes, on November 22, 1975, and they went on to raise their 3 sons in Calexico, where Victor worked at G.I. Trucking Company for many years before happily retiring to spend time doing what he loved the most, namely remodeling his home and pampering his 3 beloved grandchildren. Victor was known as hard-working, cantankerous, but ultimately loving to his family and friends, and his passion and appreciation for music, particularly The Beatles, was unparalleled. He is survived by his wife Lourdes; sons and daughters-in-law Ivan and Martha Leal, Chris and Viviana Leal; son Jordan Leal; grandchildren Galilea, Jared, and Bethany Leal; mother Maria Wheat; sisters Maria Agundez and Patricia Wheat Meza and brothers Rene and Ricardo Wheat. He will also be fondly remembered by countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. A celebratory mass, officiated by Rev. Jose Sosa, will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Calexico, CA.
